Roads are vital connectors for our families and our economy.

For decades our politicians have ignored our roads and allowed them to deteriorate to a dangerous level, and the only solution they ever consider is jacking up the gas tax.

With the cost of living rising in all areas of life, the last thing Kershaw and Lancaster needs is a tax increase.

What we do need is to get the politics out of road paving, budget to maintain existing roads, and cut the gas tax which harms ordinary South Carolinians the most.

As citizens, we have a duty to protect our families, our homes, and our state. As a gun-owner and a patriot, Russell takes that obligation seriously and will ALWAYS stand for your 2A rights.

Shall not infringed means shall not be infringed.

As an advocate for free markets and a business owner, Russell believes that taxes should only be used to pay for core government functions. The rest should remain in taxpayers’ pockets. Russell will work to use any revenue surplus for tax cuts, not more government spending.

Russell’s goal is to make the South Carolina tax code lower, fairer, and more competitive with neighboring states. There is no reason why South Carolina should have the highest income taxes in the South.

Russell will fight to stop the Columbia spending machine and reduce the size of state government.

Too many politicians are unwilling to buck the system and will keep voting for increasingly liberal budgets in the hopes of getting a few of their earmarks passed. As our Representative, Russell will be a tireless opponent of unnecessary spending.

Russell believes that all life is a gift from God. It is the government’s duty to protect life, and to provide protection for babies inside the womb. He will be unwavering when it comes to protecting the preborn, without compromise.

Russell will lead efforts to remove your tax dollars from being allocated towards abortions at facilities like Planned Parenthood.

Protecting our borders and standing up for the rule of law are critical. America and even South Carolina have been overrun by those who should not be here. While Russell supports immigrants who follow the rules and abide by our laws, he will work to make sure law enforcement has the tools they need to stop those who invade our state illegally.

As a father, Russell sees the critical importance a quality education has on our children’s future. As a legislator, Russell will work to create the broadest and best opportunities for all South Carolina children.

Unlike some politicians, Russell believes parents should decide what’s best for their kids, and our public schools need to respect parental rights.

Russell will actively oppose any efforts to bring Critical Race Theory and other modes of radical left-wing indoctrination into our public schools. He will also relentlessly fight to stop the sexualization of our children.

The 2020 government lockdowns were one of the biggest catastrophes of our lifetimes and many local businesses never recovered.

Russell believes medical patients should have all the information before making an important decision about their health.
In the House, Russell will be an avid opponent of any efforts to force vaccinations and un-proven medical treatments on our people.

Our for of government cannot long survive if the voters have lost faith that their votes are fairly and accurately counted. Russell supports efforts to guarantee that our electoral system is above board and unassailable.
